Hi I'm a single Mom and love WDW but for a change my kids fancy trying Hilton Head Island or Vero Beach-coming from UK could you tell me best way to fly to and get to Hilton Head, and for Vero Beach is it Orlando airport and car hire?Is the drive OK?Thanks

    Hi Rachel,

The Disney Vacation Club Member website may be able to help you with some of the information you are looking for. If you are a Disney Vacation Club Member, log onto the site. On the drop-down menu for Destinations, choose the resort you are interested in visiting. There are links for directions in the same box as the resort address. I also called and spoke with a cast members at each resort as to the best way to get there, and to get you some additional information.

For Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort, you will likely want to fly into Savannah International Airport. From there, it is about a one-hour drive or ride to the resort. The cast member at Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort mentioned that you can book the K-Shuttle from the airport to the resort by visiting kshuttle.com. There is also an airport on Hilton Head Island which is only 15 minutes from the resort; however, it is a smaller airport and therefore might be more difficult or expensive to fly into.

For Disney's Vero Beach Resort, you can fly in to Orlando International Airport, from where the drive is about 90 minutes. You could also fly into Melbourne International Airport, from where the drive is about 45 minutes. Melbourne International Airport is closer; however, because it is a small airport, it might be more expensive or difficult to fly into. From what I understand, neither of these drives is particularly difficult; however, if you are interested in a rental car or private car service, Disney's Vero Beach Resort does have a list that they can give you. You can request the list by calling (772) 234-2000.
