Hi, I’m a single mom. Want to take my kids to Disney world. On n a 3 day weekend because I think that’s all I can afford. Do they have any tips or specials for single moms. It would be me and my two boys.

Hi Jasmina and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I think a weekend trip to the Walt Disney World Resort is an awesome idea! There’s a lot you can enjoy on a budget!

My mom was a single mom when I was growing up and I have the best memories of visiting the theme parks. We went every year after Thanksgiving and my sister and I loved it! When we visit now, my mom always points out how awesome it would have been to have the value resorts when we were growing up. They give you all the perks of being a Disney Resort hotel guest, without the big price tag!

I suggest checking for Special Offers. Different offers become available all the time! Free Disney Dining Plans have been offered during the summer months and right now, you can save $20 if you purchase 3-day or longer tickets through the Walt Disney World Resort site.

Another great option, and one that my family uses all the time, are the Good Neighbor Hotels. They don’t have all the perks, but they are close to the Disney Parks and cost much less per night. Disney Springs Area Resort hotels offer some perks, like Extra Magic Hours and a ride to the theme parks, also making them a great value.

A good way that I save on meals, at least for my picky eaters, is at breakfast time. My girls are perfectly happy with a bowl of cereal and milk. So I always make sure to have a half-gallon of milk in the mini-fridge at our resort and a box of cereal in my luggage!

Jasmina, I hope I’ve given you a few tips! Feel free to come back to see us with any other questions you might have. Helping you with all the details of your magical stay is our favorite thing to do!
