I'm a single mom and I'm trying to come up with a special way to surprise my daughter Lilly and son Jack that we're going to Disney World in Aug. I would like to surprise them on Easter with it. A cute poem or Note . Help?

Monique, what a fun idea! Instead of a traditional Easter Basket, fill theirs up with things they will need for their magical vacation. Sunglasses, Mickey Mouse T-Shirt, sunscreen, mister fans, mickey backpacks, Disney gift cards for souvenirs, stuffed Disney characters, etc. I can usually find some Mickey Mouse themed jelly beans from Jelly Belly as well as other Disney candies. If you think the contents will give away your surprise, you could use colored cellophane or tissue paper to wrap up the baskets to keep things hidden for a bit. Then put this poem on the outside that I created just for you guys!

Happy Easter to you, my dear Lilly and Jack!
Here are some items you may want to pack.
Are you ready for princesses, pirates, and fun?
Magic and fireworks - we're not even done!
A place where you and your mom can play,
Have fun and laugh away the whole day.
Smiles and giggles and pixie dust,
A place where being a kid is a must!
Thrills and adventure will be everywhere,
It will be so amazing you won’t believe you’re there!
My dear little ones, do you know what’s in store?
Surely my rhyme has not been a bore!
Stand up now so all can hear your scream:
WE ARE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD – it does seem!

If you need any help while planning your August visit, please stop by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Wishing you and your family a magical vacation, Monique!

Meet the Panelist: Rachel, Wisconsin

Hi, I’m Rachel! I am a “boy mom” to two rowdy little men at home and married to my high school sweetheart. I am fortunate enough that my prince charming loves all things Disney just as much as I do! For me, planning a trip to Walt Disney World can be just as magical as being there. It brings our family together as we dream, plan, and count down the days. I would be honored to help plan your visit and share in your family’s very own magic! Learn More About Rachel
