I'm a single Mom on a budget taking my two daughters, ages 12 and 8 to WDW for the first time. We are super excited but I am overwhelmed with the possibilities. Please help me to get started. Thankyou in advance.

    Hi Carrie!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Moms Panel.  A first trip to Walt Disney World is a very special trip!  Several panelists recently answered a similar question to yours and you can see their various view points here.

You can price out a vacation on the main Walt Disney World web site or you can call Disney Reservations at (407) 939-7675.  Be sure to ask about any special offers or promotions when you call.  You can see the latest specials here on-line.  The least expensive resort hotels at Walt Disney World are Value resorts.  My favorite is Pop Century.  Most young guests enjoy the theming there and it has a great food court.

You should order a free planning DVD.  I suggest watching it with your daughters to give you an overview of all of the great things to do at Walt Disney World.  For first time visitors, I also recommend picking up a copy of "The Complete Walt Disney World" by Mike and Julie Neal.  It's a great tour book, winning 8 national book awards, and  loaded with lots of pictures.

You might also consider contacting an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner.  Those are travel agents who specialize in Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and Adventures by Disney.  I've used one from time to time and have been very impressed with the service.

Enjoy planning and write back if you have any more questions.
