I'm a single mom with boys age 9&5. I'm thinking of a Disney cruise for spring break. Is there lots to keep them busy on a cruise and can I manage 2 kids alone and still feel relaxed? We've been to WDW twice but never alone. Thanks for your advice!

    Welcome aboard, Amanda!

So great to hear that you are considering a magical voyage this time around for your next vacation. I think your boys will have an awesome time -- and so will you! Our family likes to cruise during spring break too.  We've been lucky with the great weather around that time, for non-stop fun onboard the ship as well as at the different ports of call.

The top notch Youth Clubs on board will be a hit for your family. Your boys will be entertained and fully engaged there, and they'll get a chance to make great friends too. I wouldn't be surprised if your boys end up spending the day all the way 'til evening in the clubs. Having the Oceaneer Club and Lab at your fingertips will allow you to really enjoy some 'me' time also. It really does help a parent relax when we know that our kids are in the hands of qualified youth counselors, and they're in an environment that is safe and fun.

There are a variety of different activities at the Youth Clubs and around the ship. You'll surely find something that everyone will enjoy together (or separately). There are family game nights and trivia games at the lounges, and you can also enjoy a variety of sports games while at the sports deck. Every day is a bit different, so make sure you check out the Personal Navigator for schedules of activities and the location on the ship. Similar to the parks, there are characters on board for photo opportunities. Your boys might enjoy the complimentary 24-hour room service - maybe warm cookies and milk at bedtime? Or just a random Mickey Ice Cream Bar anytime during the day as a special treat? You'll like lounging around the pool deck, or you can join the kids at the pool or water slides.

I hope you check it out, Amanda. ~ Dolly
