    I'm signed up for the Wine and Dine Half. My nieces are running the kids races. Can we pick up all their packets and make it over to their race if we show up when the expo opens Saturday morning? Thanks!

    Hi Karen!  The Wine and Dine half marathon is my favorite race! I love running at night, going through three parks, and the post-race party!

    Theoretically, you can do this. The expo will open at 9 and the races are at 10.  People generally start lining up about 30 minutes prior to the expo opening, so you will want to get there early.  The packet pick-up is very organized and a quick process.  It will help if you have more than one person picking up packets (ex.  your nieces' parents picking their packets up for them) so you don't have to wait in more than one line.  Also, be sure to have everyone's waivers printed out before you go.  You can easily do all of this in 10-15 minutes once entering the expo.  Then you will need to walk on over to the kids' races which are just behind the packet pick-up building at the track and field complex.

    Personally, I am a Nervous Nelly about being late for things, so I would go to the expo on Friday.  But, I do realize that I could stand to take a few chill pills-- and if it didn't work for me to go on Friday, then I know it would still work out on Saturday morning.
