Hi Shannon,
Welcome to the Disney Park Moms Panel! I love answering questions from fellow North Carolinians. I am also an
Annual Passholder. When your renewal date is approaching, you have up to 60 days before or 30 days after your
Annual Pass expires to renew at a discounted rate. If you renew during this time period, you do keep the same expiration date as your previous Annual Pass.
If the renewal time period expires, you are welcome to purchase a new Annual Pass for full price. The new Annual Pass will expire one year from the day you activate it. Depending on when you are planning to travel to Walt Disney World Resort, it might make sense to allow your pass to expire and purchase a new pass at full price. For example, I had an Annual Pass that was going to expire at the end of January one year. I planned to travel to Walt Disney World Resort in March and October of that year and in February of the following year. By purchasing a new pass, I was able to include all of my park days for the next year.
Shannon, thank you for visiting us with your question. I hope you'll let us know if we can help you with any additional questions!
Wishing you many magical vacations,
Amy H.
