I'm a seasoned Disney Parks visitor, but this will be my first visit during the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, and I'm excited to try the Outdoor Kitchens! Can you please suggest some shaded and secluded spots to eat the food?

Welcome back to planDisney, Hilary! Thanks so much for sending us another great question. I'm happy to see you're arriving at Walt Disney World Resort soon!

I'm so excited for you to experience the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival for the first time! This festival happens to be my favorite and the Outdoor Kitchens are one of the main reasons I love going! The Foodie Guide was recently released and there's no shortage of delicious bites and sips. I have some suggestions for you that are a little more secluded and will provide some relief from the Florida sun.

In United Kingdom, follow the cobblestone street past the gift shops. Depending on the time of day, you can find shade in this area and there are many high-top tables. I find this area to be one of the quietest in the World Showcase. There are beautiful gardens to stroll through and you might even catch a glimpse of Alice or Mary Poppins! I always get one of everything on the menu at nearby Northern Bloom in Canada!

In France, the Outdoor Kitchen has many great menu items and I highly recommend having a La Vie en Rose Frozen Slushy or two! There are tables waterside in the shade near the Beauty and the Beast topiary with a view of Disney Skyliner

As you make your way around the World Showcase to Japan, find Kabuki Cafe and head up the stairs. Here you will find many tables covered by either umbrellas or the tree canopy throughout this area. I have always felt this spot is a hidden gem and my kids still love looking at the koi ponds.

While not as secluded, The American Adventure also has plenty of shade and tables. I really love this spot for the menu items at Magnolia Terrace and also because you can listen to the performers during the Garden Rocks Concert Series.

Be sure to pick up a Festival Passport, a handy guide that's a quick way to reference the Outdoor Kitchen menus.  If you are a foodie like me, you might even want to participate in Garden Graze, a food stroll featuring five delicious dishes from various Outdoor Kitchens. As you purchase these items, have your passport stamped, and once you have tried all five, head over to Pineapple Promenade to receive your festival-exclusive treat.

I hope this information helps with your planning! I almost have my must-eat and drink list ready because I'm heading to EPCOT for the first days of the festival! If you think of any additional questions, please feel free to ask me here! In the meantime, I'm wishing you a pixie-dusted vacation filled with food, flowers, and fun!

    Happy Planning!
    Lisa
