I'm saving for our trip a few years out and thought I'd buy our park passes now to avoid inflation. Is there a time limit as to how far in advance I can purchase the tickets before I plan to use them?

Hi Ryan! There are several thoughts about buying a Disney park ticket in advance. It will certainly save time as the lines at the parks can be quite long if you wait until you arrive at the parks. Tickets can be purchased in the resorts and at Disney Springs which are better options.

Tickets may be purchased at any time for a future Walt Disney World vacation. Keep in mind the ages of children you are purchasing for to make sure they do not go over the age requirement at the time of the trip. Once a ticket is activated it must be used within 14 days so be sure you don't use a ticket for a quick trip to Disney for a day and then think you can use the rest in the future.

Prices can go up at any time and without notice so many guests buy as soon as they know they have a trip in the books. Your savings can be a few dollars per ticket but that mounts up when you have a large family to buy for.

The only other thing you must think about is if you might be interested in any sort of package plan that Disney might offer during your vacation time. Often those will require at least a one day ticket purchase with the package so you might end up having to buy a ticket twice.
