Hi there, Jazmine! I’m honored to welcome you back to planDisney! Your cruise aboard the amazing Disney Destiny is right on the horizon, and that’s extremely exciting! I just sailed aboard the
Disney Destiny recently and fell head over heels in love with it! There’s so much to love about this incredible ship, and the heroes and villains theme can be felt all throughout! I especially loved meeting all the unique characters on board and planned our cruise outfits to coincide with the Character Meetings and themed evenings on board. To help with your own cruise packing, I would be happy to share the themed nights for your sailing aboard the Disney Destiny.
During your sailing, the themed evenings you can expect are:
- Night 1: Disney/Cruise Casual. Dress in Disney or cruise casual attire.
- Night 2: Disney/Cruise Casual. Dress in Disney or cruise casual attire.
- Night 3: Formal or Cruise Casual. Optional Dress-Up runs the gamut of options from evening gowns and tuxedos to cocktail attire to cruise casual!
- Night 4: Pirate or Cruise Casual. Dress in either your swashbuckling best or cruise casual.
- Night 5: Disney/Cruise Casual. Dress in Disney or cruise casual attire.

Once on board the Disney Destiny, I also recommend keeping an eye on the “Daily Plans” section of the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App for all those unique Character Meetings and photo opportunities. You can find so many awesome photo locations, so you can have the best memories of all these cute outfits on board your cruise! I love the photos that the Disney Cruise Line photographers take so much that I purposely make sure my family is dressed for dinner a half hour earlier so we can all get family photos (while my kiddos are still clean)!
As for the shows in the Walt Disney Theater, we won’t know the exact schedule for your sailing just yet until it's closer to your sail date. But I can share what I experienced on mine, as they tend to follow a similar pattern. There will always be three Broadway-style shows on board, and the three currently on board the Disney Destiny are “Seas the Adventure”, “Disney Hercules”, and “Frozen, A Musical Spectacular”. There might also be a movie playing in the Walt Disney Theater on one evening, as well as a comedy or variety show. Once you embark on the Disney Destiny, you can find the show schedule in the “Walt Disney Theater” section of the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. I’ll tell you right now, Jazmine, get your tissues ready for “Disney Hercules”, because, girrlll, you are not emotionally prepared for how beautiful it’s going to be watching our favorite Zero to Hero live on stage!
