Aloha Dennis, and welcome aboard planDisney!
I'll never forget what it was like to spend years of my life living and working at sea, and my first voyages as part of the crew onboard the
Disney Wonder took place right on the Pacific! On
those special transoceanic itineraries that typically take place once a year crossing such a vast distance, that stretch between
Hawai'i with several Sea Days before finally reaching the Canadian shores of
Vancouver can be daunting for first-timers but likely I'm happy to provide you with some nautical knowledge on what you can expect based on the most recent voyage that took place this year:
While guest entertainers may be subject to change, they do seem to space out the main productions in the
Walt Disney Theatre throughout the voyage but in 2024 this voyage did not have a scheduled performance like a Welcome Aboard show for the first evening.
As far as the dinner menus, these longer itineraries often provide the opportunity to try some more diverse selections along with the usual menus found at
Triton's,
Animator's Palate and
Tiana's Place. This can include menus such as Let The Magic Begin, World of Flavour, Land & Sea, Vista, Captain's Gala Dinner, Tiana's Place - Mardi Gras and Animator's Palate - Animation Magic; though the Disney Wonder also has special Pirates in the Caribbean, Freezing The Night Away and Aloha Hawaii menus, these did not seem to be offered on this voyage.
I hope this helps give you a general idea of what may be offered next year, Dennis! You may be lucky to come across Personal Navigators that fellow seafarers have shared online, but as you likely already know, the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App will ultimately be the most up-to-date resource as you embark on your voyage.
Wishing you the most Wonderful adventure out on the Pacific!
