Ahoy there, Kelly! Welcome to planDisney! AH, a 7-night itinerary on the Disney Fantasy is in your future, and there are just a few months until you're underway! OK, so it's more than a few months, but maybe saying it's just "a few" will make the time go faster for you!
Even though I'm usually a "cruise casual all the time" kind of guy unless I'm dining in Palo or Remy, I love theme nights and seeing my fellow castaways get into whichever theme is going on that night. One time, a tablemate of ours even wore her wedding dress on formal night! Now that's a whole new meaning of the word "commitment!" Haha! But what's a crew to do when you're trying to pack and don't know what theme nights your cruise has?
Time to put on my Midship Detective Agency badge on (an underrated, but highly-recommended activity aboard the ship) and sleuth out some answers. Guess the case I was working for the Muppets will have to wait...good thing the magnifying glass came in a set with the hat...
Searching...searching...Aha, what's this?! Looks like I've got a hot lead - the "Dress Code" section of the "help" menu on the website! According to this clue, most 7-night itineraries can count on the following:
- First night is cruise casual—this is always great because embarkation day is a WHIRLWIND.
- One pirate night or other themed deck party - subject to change and current health and safety policies (check the "Know Before You Go" information for the latest info!)
- Three additional cruise casual nights—remember: no swimwear or tank tops!
- One formal and one semi-formal night—both give you the opportunity to dress up and take advantage of the onboard photography services.
Well there you have it! Looks like that's another case solved by the Midship Detective Agency - too bad this one's off the clock, we made great time! Looks like you've got a bit more packing planning to do, so it's a good thing Disney Cruise Line has some suggested packing lists to help you along, too! They really have thought of everything, haven't they?
Oh, and one more thing, once you board the ship, be sure to check out the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to see which nights of your cruise have which theme! The first night will definitely still be cruise casual, but the others are subject to change based on your specific sailing!
Thank you so much for your question, Kelly! I'm so excited for you and your crew to get ready to board the Disney Fantasy later this year! I hope you have the coordinates you need to continue charting a course for adventure. If any other questions pop up, please sail my way again here at planDisney - I'll keep an eye out for any new cases!
It's no mystery - you're going to have a great time!
