I’m sailing on the Disney Destiny Oct 17-24. Is there a way to find out what nights the Broadway shows, Pirate Night, and Halloween Party are on? I want to plan a dinner at Palo, but don’t want to miss the shows!

Hi there, Aimee! Welcome aboard, planDisney!

Your Halloween on the High Seas cruise aboard the Disney Destiny will be here before you know it! I love a Halloween-themed Disney cruise because it combines my favorite holiday celebration with all that I love about Disney Cruise Line! To help you make a Palo Steakhouse dinner reservation, I would be happy to share the different themed evenings during your sailing.

Like you, I also like to know the themes of each evening ahead of time, so that I can make my adult-dining reservations. As for the Broadway-style show schedule, unfortunately, we don’t know it this far out yet. I suggest checking back with us again about a week before your cruise, when we might have that schedule. However, I can tell you about the themed nights on board your cruise. Please remember that all offerings are always subject to change.

    • Night 1-Attire theme: Cruise or Disney Casual
    • Night 2-Attire theme: Cruise or Disney Casual
    • Night 3- (Mickey’s Mouse-Querade) Attire theme: Halloween or Cruise/Disney Casual
    • Night 4-Attire theme: Formal or Cruise/Disney Casual
    • Night 5- (Pirate Night) Attire Theme: Pirate or Cruise/Disney Casual
    • Night 6-Attire Theme: Semi-Formal or Cruise/Disney Casual
    • Night 7- Attire Theme: Cruise or Disney Casual
During your sailing, the Halloween-themed night is scheduled for Night 3, and Pirate Night will be on Night 5.

My advice is not to schedule your Palo Steakhouse dinner reservation for the Pirate or Halloween Nights, so as not to miss the festivities. I also wouldn’t schedule it on the Formal Night or the final evening of the cruise, because I usually find there is a Broadway-style show scheduled for those evenings. Again, this is not guaranteed, but I am sharing what I have experienced, so that you have an idea. Themed cruises, such as Halloween on the High Seas, present more fun events to schedule, so this could affect the Broadway-style show schedule (although arguably, a great problem to have!).

If you’re asking me which night I would schedule a Palo Steakhouse dinner for based on the schedule above, I would say Night 6. Depending on my Rotational Dining time, if possible, I also like to schedule my Palo Steakhouse dinner 2 hours before the late show in the Walt Disney Theater, if I have the earlier 5:45 PM dining time, or after 7 PM if I have the later 8:15 PM dining time when I would be watching the earlier show, so that I can still watch it, if it ends up that my dinner reservation is on the same evening as a show.

Once on board your cruise, you can see the week’s plans on the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. If you find a scheduling conflict on the night of your Palo Steakhouse dinner, you can request that it be rescheduled at Palo Steakhouse, as long as there's availability and you're rescheduling at least 24 hours in advance.

Aimee, I hope that I guided you in making that Palo Steakhouse dinner reservation. I wish you so many wonderful memories on board your cruise! Please sail back to planDisney if you have any other questions.
