Ahoy there, Kristen, and welcome to planDisney! A
summer Alaskan adventure is worth melting for, so I’m glad you stopped by with this question.
Any show at sea is a reason to celebrate, but it looks like you’ll be experiencing the
Frozen Deck Party on Night 3 after your Glacier Experience. It’s not the first time in forever that anyone will see the festive flurries of this nighttime spectacle, but I can confirm it is unique to the
Disney Wonder. And it’s not just the evening that will be transformed into a winter sky; from the moment you wake up, even the atrium will resemble Arendelle.
Keep your eyes peeled for some
Frozen friends throughout the day and get ready to feast on a Nordic-inspired menu that evening. You may even spot our favorite snowman since you will be sailing during his favorite season. The
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app will be your best friend when it comes to discovering when those meeting times will take place.
And while entertainment and merchandise are subject to change, I would also plan to visit the concession stand early on in your voyage if you’re hoping to find some Frozen-themed cups or popcorn buckets. Because popcorn refills are so inexpensive, I always treat myself to a new bucket on the first night so I can keep filling it up every night, whether I’m headed to watch a live show in the Walt Disney Theatre or catching a late-night film on Funnel Vision.
Speaking of themes, I thought you might also be delighted to know that your Formal Night occurs on Night 2 after your first day at sea. It looks like you’ll also experience Semi-Formal Night on Night 6 after spending some time in Ketchikan. If you think of anything else you’d like to know before setting sail, Kristen, I hope you’ll pop back over to us here at
planDisney!
Bon voyage,
Sami
