Ahoy there, Janel and thanks for pulling into port here at planDisney!
I'm so excited to hear that you'll be sailing during the Easter weekend! There's no better way to celebrate
any holiday than on the high seas, and a picture-perfect day on
Disney Castaway Cay with its crystal clear water, amazing food at Cookies BBQ and Cookies Too and maybe a stroll or tram ride over to Serenity Bay seems like an incredible way to spend the weekend!
Since not all itineraries feature a
Pirate Night, I sailed on over to check with a Crew Member if your particular itinerary will include one, and your sailing is not scheduled to be boarded by pirates. I know that might be disappointing, but there's a silver lining: no pirate takeover of one of your restaurants means you'll get to experience the original menus at each of the Disney Dream's amazing main dining rooms! From the delicious Pan-Asian fusion cuisine of
Animators Palate, to French-American classics of the regally-inspired
Royal Palace, to the Versailles-inspired, market-style menu of
Enchanted Garden (I highly recommend the Sea Bass!), delicious gourmet options await on each night on your
Rotational Dining experience!
OH, but I have more good news! As far as the Castaway Cay 5k is concerned, the most recent
"Ports of Call: Know Before You Go" information shows that, while at this time, the group start for the race is still temporarily paused, but Guests are welcome to run the race on their own - no sign up needed! All participants who complete the 5K run will receive a finishing medallion, with information on where they can be picked-up available in the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app! A (very) early "Happy Easter" to you and your crew, I hope it is a holiday to remember! If you think of any other questions about your sailing between now and the minute you sail away, I'll keep an eye out for carrier seagulls and messages in a bottle from you!
Fair winds and following seas,
Andrew
