Congratulations, Julia, on registering for the
runDisney Marathon Weekend 2025! I ran my first marathon ever this January. Despite saying I never wanted to train for a marathon again, I had so much fun running at
Walt Disney World Resort, I signed up for 2025, too. Let's do this!
I know just how magical seeing a friend on the course can be. I will always treasure hearing my friend
Melissa call my name while I was running down Main Street, U.S.A. That quick stop for a hug and encouragement was so magical and fueled my spirits through some of those tough parking lot miles.
I have not seen ChEAR Squad packages available for any
runDisney events I have done in the past few years, but runDisney does release great information to help spectators cheer on the runners. A few weeks before each race, they have been updating the
Digital Guide and Expo. If you go to the site now, it has all the information for the upcoming
runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend. If you go to this site between races, there will just be a placeholder. As a registered runner, you will get an email with a link to the guide when it is released for Marathon Weekend.
The Digital Guide typically has a tile for spectator viewing. If memory serves me, both the half and full marathon in January included information on the main spectator viewing section at the finish line at
EPCOT and locations within
Magic Kingdom Park for Main Street, U.S.A. and the Transportation and Ticket Center. There were also people cheering at locations within the
Disney Resorts Collection hotels on the course. Information on these locations are available to Resort Guests the weekend of the event.
Happy training! And please come back to
planDisney with any questions as you get ready for your adventure at the Most Magical Place to Race!
Every Mile is Magic!
