I'm running the Springtime Surprise 10-miler in April. It's my first runDisney race in several years, and I wondered if there are still donation bins near the start if runners have outerwear they they don't want to run with. Thanks!

Kissy, kissy, Susan! Thanks for visiting moi with your great question. Like, Miss Piggy I know you're going to "Hi-yah" that 10-Miler so let's to your question!

runDisney races are the best! There is nothing quite like running through Walt Disney World Resort and having your favorite characters cheer you on. The Springtime Surprise 10-Miler will have you stretching like Elastigirl to finish those miles so I want you to rest assured that all dropped clothing items throughout the race are collected and donated. While recently there haven't been dedicated donation bins at the start line, Cast Member Yaskayra confirmed the donation policy for me. Great news, right?

Susan, the early start times make it a wise idea to bring a lightweight jacket to discard once you get warm. You could also bring a mylar blanket but you'll want to discard it before you start the race as the mylar can mess with the timing chip in your bib at the start line. I also like to bring hand warmers and a poncho so I'm prepared for all weather! My planDisney pal Jana and I recently ran the Walt Disney World Marathon and we each brought a sweatshirt to discard. Hopefully, you'll be running with your wolf pack as it makes races that much more fun!

My other tip is to purchase Memory Maker (at least three days in advance for a special discount) for all those race day photos. There is nothing quite as magical as running through Cinderella Castle or grabbing a picture with Tarzan, and the Disney PhotoPass photographers are pros at capturing all of the breathtaking moments! Your bib number has a unique ID that you can add in the My Disney Experience Mobile App for all photos taken of you during the race. After you get your medal, grab some iconic finisher photos in front of the Spaceship Earth in EPCOT.

I hope this information helps you plan a most magical race, Susan. Please let me know if you have any other question!

    Every mile is magic,
    Melissa
