I'm running my first marathon ever at DW in January and am curious about the after-party at DTD. Will there be characters present? If its open to everyone, how are runners and their families guaranteed admission?

Hello!  I think the 20th anniversary Disney world marathon is the perfect choice for your first full marathon!

They are still finalizing the details about the after-party, so I don't know yet if there will be characters.  Generally, there aren't characters at the Downtown Disney area.  Downtown Disney never requires admission.  I think it is just a great place where everyone can go to mingle and celebrate their achievements.  No one will need tickets.  There will be special music and other things scattered around the area to add to the festivities.  Downtown Disney is really a big outdoor marketplace.  There are restaurants, shopping, music, movies, etc. every day of the year.  The post-race party will be even more exciting!

Please let me know if you have any other questions!
