Hi there, Micah!
Welcome to
planDisney! Thanks for taking a break from your busy training schedule to swing by with your question. While I won't be lacing up for
runDisney Marathon Weekend this year, I'll be at the start line for
Princess Half Marathon Weekend in February. Both races will be here before we know it, so let's dive into the details!
Purchasing
Memory Maker for a
runDisney weekend is a fantastic idea and my top recommendation for race participants. The courses are lined with professional photographers who capture amazing moments and expressions along the way. Because the folks behind the cameras are
Disney PhotoPass® photographers, all pictures taken during the races are included; you do not need to visit a theme park to activate Memory Maker.
The only thing you'll need to do to view your images is link your bib to your My Disney Experience account. To do this, open the
My Disney Experience mobile app and tap the three parallel lines in the bottom right corner of the home screen. Next, scroll down until you see Disney PhotoPass and click "Photo Gallery." Click "Link Photos" in the top right and select "Type to Link PhotoPass Card." Here, you'll enter your unique code, which is a combination of your race ID and bib number. I love how easy it is to get all my photos through my bib number without needing to stop and tap a
MagicBand or
mobile device during the race!
I hope this is helpful, Micah. Best wishes for a healthy training season and a memorable race weekend. Since we're now within 60 days of marathon weekend, it's the perfect time to consider where to enjoy your pre and post-race meals! My planDisney pals and I love to celebrate a triumphant finish with an all-you-care-to-enjoy dining experience (
Boma - Flavors of Africa and
Liberty Tree Tavern are our favorites). For pre-race fuel, our top pick is
Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria.
Thanks again for visiting planDisney, and have a magical day!
