Hi Moms! I’m returning for an early fall visit and staying at Port Orleans French Quarter for the first time! I see that one of the modes of transportation for that resort is a boat, where all can I travel to via the boat? Thanks! You’re so helpful!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Janice!

I'm so glad you stopped by to see us again. Your upcoming vacation sounds positively dreamy. Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter is my favorite moderate hotel at Walt Disney World Resort. I just can't resist the New Orleans theming and the freshly baked beignets in the Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory. You must try them. They are so good!

One of the many things I appreciate about Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter is its location. Because it is so centrally located, it doesn't take long to get to any of the Disney theme parks or water parks by bus. Being able to ride a boat along the Sassagoula River is just icing on the cake. You can board one of those boats at the back of the resort. It will take you to Disney Springs when you're in the mood for some shopping or dining. It's a delightful, relaxing ride. If you take the boat in the opposite direction, you can visit Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside. That's a great way to get to River Roost Lounge for a performance by the beloved piano player and singer, Yehaa Bob.

Let us know if any additional questions arise as you are planning your next trip. We'd be happy to provide whatever advice you may need.

Sending best wishes and pixie dust,
    Jill
