Hi! If I’m a resort guest and want to start my day in Hollywood Studios, but also want to get a virtual queue for TRON at 6pm, do I first need to park hop to MK, or can I make that virtual queue even if I haven’t entered MK yet? Say, from my hotel?

    Welcome to planDisney, Andrew!

We're so glad you stopped by with a question. Your visit is just about a week away and I know you must be getting so excited! I'm happy to help as you finalize your plans.

Since you are referring to a 6 p.m. Virtual Queue, I'm going to assume you are hoping to take advantage of Extended Evening Theme Park Hours for guests of Deluxe Resorts. On evenings when Extended Evening Theme Park Hours are scheduled, eligible guests can enjoy additional time in the parks after they close to daytime guests. This is a great perk, particularly for guests hoping to experience TRON Lightcycle / Run presented by Enterprise as they'll have the chance to join an additional 6 p.m. Virtual Queue.

I see that Extended Evening Theme Park Hours are scheduled at Magic Kingdom Park on February 14, the night of your visit. As long as you have valid Park Hopper Option tickets for that date you won't need to be in Magic Kingdom Park to request to join the evening Virtual Queue. Whether you're still hanging at Disney's Hollywood Studios or relaxing in your resort room you should be able to access Virtual Queue from your My Disney Experience Mobile App. If you decide to make your way over to Magic Kingdom Park earlier in the day you can also request to join the 1 p.m. Virtual Queue (assuming you haven't already successfully entered the 7 a.m. option). Just keep in mind that you will need to be in Magic Kingdom Park to join at 1 p.m.

Tron is a thrilling experience, especially once the sun goes down so I'm hoping you'll be able to enjoy it during your visit. As a resort guest, you'll have the option to purchase an Individual Lightning Lane at 7 a.m. if you want to be certain you'll get to ride. I visited with a friend last month and we opted to purchase to ensure a ride after the nightly showing of Happily Ever After. It was a great way to end an exciting and magical day.

I hope this helped, Andrew. If we can answer any additional questions please come back and let us know.

    Magic and memories,
