Hello, I’m a resident of California and was interested in attending California Adventure, but before purchasing tickets I wanted ask what type of residential proof I would need to take. My ID is still from my hometown. Would I need a bill of some sort?

    Hi there, Leslie!

Welcome, and thanks for bringing your question to planDisney. It sounds like you’re eager to plan a magical visit to the Disneyland Resort soon!

As you know, only California residents can enter the theme parks for the time being. As a current Californian, you can certainly purchase tickets and make a theme park reservation. First and foremost, make sure that your contact information, especially your home address in California, is up-to-date in your Disney account on Disneyland.com. When you make your reservation, you’ll be asked to agree to Terms & Conditions, again confirming that you and everyone in your party are in-state residents.

Cast Members at the theme park entrances may require you to present identification to show proof of California residency, so if you don’t have a new photo ID by then, I suggest that you bring along your paper copy from the DMV and a current utility bill that shows your California home address and matches the name on your identification.

I hope this information helps. Please stop by again if you have any other questions as your pixie-dusted planning continues, Leslie!

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
