Hi Kathy,
Thanks for making planDisney part of your family's celebration. There is no greater place to celebrate life's milestones than
Walt Disney World Resort and your fiancé's milestone birthday just happens to align perfectly with
The Most Magical Celebration on Earth.
With a May 4 arrival, you can make your
advance dining reservations on Saturday, March 5. You are unable to make reservations for your party size online so you will need to call (407) 939-3463 at 7:00 a.m. on the dot to ensure maximum availability for the birthday dinner. A friendly Cast Member will be able to assist you with options for your large party, and I recommend having a list of at least five restaurants requests ready. Let's see if I can help you with that.
With lodging at
Disney's Old Key West Resort, a meal at
Olivia's Cafe would be within walking distance of your Disney home. You are also a relaxing boat ride away from many delicious options at
Disney Springs. I recently enjoyed a delicious meal with a large group at
Chef Art Smith's Homecomin'. Additionally, other restaurants around Walt Disney World Resort are better at accommodating large groups than others.
Via Napoli in EPCOT (
theme park admission and
Park Pass reservation required) is an excellent in-park option. The Mezzo Metro pizzas are massive and delicious! Several good options are located in other Disney Resorts Collection hotels such as
Whispering Canyon Café at Disney's Wilderness Lodge Resort or
'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. Dinner at 'Ohana could magically be paired with
Disney Enchantment fireworks viewing on the beach for an ultimate birthday celebration.
Assuming May 7th is your must-have date, I encourage you to be somewhat flexible in terms of mealtimes and/or location. Also, expect that your party will be split up into a few reservations to accommodate everyone. Please let the Cast Member know you're celebrating a birthday and they'll be sure to mark that on your reservation. Additionally, make sure your fiancé picks up an "I'm Celebrating" button at the hotel's front desk to wear proudly throughout your stay. The gift of togetherness and Disney are the most magical gifts of all.
I'll be sending loads of pixie dust your way on March 5, Kathy. Please return to planDisney as other questions about planning your large, multigenerational vacation pop up. We're hEAR to help!
Choose magic,
Jennifer
