Hi there, Priscilla - welcome to
planDisney!
Thanks so much for stopping by with your question for our team of panelists. We love helping Guests just like you plan magical Walt Disney World Resort vacations! I'm so excited to hEAR that you have a trip coming up later this month. There's a lot of pixie dust floating through the air as the
Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration continues. Be sure to check out all the exciting new attractions, entertainment, food, and more!
I'm so glad that you were able to pre-register for the
Disability Access Service (DAS) for your upcoming trip. It's a great service to help Guests who might have difficulties using the standard queues - you'll get to spend your wait time somewhere more comfortable! It's also great that you were able to get your DAS Advance selections and are able to see them in your
My Disney Experience account. It sounds like everything is set up wonderfully!
I have experience using DAS with the
My Disney Experience Mobile App, and can confirm that the DAS tile will only pop up in the app's menu when you are tapped in and physically present in a Theme Park. You can use that tile to access a list of attractions and book at DAS return time, or you can use your Genie Tip Board to view attractions and select a DAS return time. This is the same place you would look to purchase an Individual Lightning Lane selection or to book a Genie+ Lightning Lane selection!
This new system has improved access to DAS for Guests and has added exciting new features, like the ability to make some selections in advance. That being said, there are always a few bumps in the road with a new offering, and I want you to know that Cast Members are always available to help.
For example, on our crew's last visit to
Disney's Hollywood Studios, the DAS tile wasn't showing up in my app after I'd entered the park, and because that's the only way I knew how to book DAS return times, I was a tad frustrated. I visited a Guest Experience Team Cast Member (usually under blue umbrellas scattered throughout the Theme Parks) who showed me that I could also book my DAS return times using the Genie Tip Board, even if the DAS tile isn't showing up in the app's menu. So, if you have any hiccups, don't fret! Just visit the nearest Guest Experience Team Cast Member or stop by
Guest Relations and they will get you back on track for a magical day!
I hope this information is helpful as you continue planning for your upcoming trip -
please let me know if I can help answer any additional questions!
