Hi, Jonna! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!
First of all, congratulations on your engagement! I'm so excited to hEAR that you are planning to have your engagement pictures taken at
Walt Disney World Resort! No matter what backdrop you choose for your photos, they are sure to be magical.
Under normal circumstances, you do not need to be a
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel Guest to visit the resorts. However, to protect the health and safety of Guests and Cast Members, some rules have been adjusted during the
phased reopening of Walt Disney World Resort. Currently, resort hotel access is restricted to Guests staying at that particular resort hotel and Guests with confirmed
dining reservations at that resort hotel. I see that your listed arrival date is in the spring, so this policy could possibly change by then. I recommend keeping an eye on this
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels "Know Before You Go" page for all of the latest information.
In case day Guests are once again allowed to visit resort hotels next spring, I'm happy to share with you some of my favorite places to capture your memories with a photoshoot. You can get some really fun and unique pictures while strolling along the boardwalk at
Disney's BoardWalk Inn. If you're hoping to capture a laid-back island vibe, I would recommend
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort or
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. For a quaint Southern setting,
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside is lovely. Bonus tip: Check to see if the
horse-drawn carriage rides are being offered during your visit. Finally, with its Victorian elegance and stunning views of Cinderella Castle, when it comes to a romantic backdrop for engagement photos,
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort is practically perfect in every way.
If you have any additional questions as you plan your visit, don't hesitate to ask. Wishing you many yEARs of happily ever after!
Samantha
