I'm really wanting to stay at the Carribean Beach, but after looking at the resort map it looks huge. I will be traveling with my 2 yr old daughter and I'm wondering if the French Quarter would be better for us since it looks like a smaller resort.

    Hi Lori!

The Caribbean Beach Resort and Port Orleans French Quarter Resort are two amazing Moderate Resorts in Walt Disney World. You are correct in saying that the Caribbean Beach Resort is very large.  It is so big that it has it's own internal bus service to get you around within the Resort!

I stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter in March of 2010 and I absolutely loved it! My observations were that Port Orleans French Quarter was a compact, incredible Resort with great rooms, an awesome pool with a waterslide, and a great food court.  All of the buildings in French Quarter were very close to the main lobby which houses the food court, gift shop, and the Disney bus stops. The rooms have double beds like the Value Resorts do, but in the Moderate Resorts you get a small refrigerator that comes with the room as well as a small coffee maker.  Also there is a curtain that separates the bathroom, shower, and sinks from the rest of the room so there can be some privacy.  I would highly recommend choosing Port Orleans French Quarter for your next trip to Walt Disney World.

I hope that you and your daughter make some memories that last forever on your next trip to Walt Disney World!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
