Hi, I'm ready to my cruise on Feb 20, Disney Dream. I was wondering if the tram from the port to the beach is free or we have to pay. Also, food in the port: Disney Lockout Cay at Lighthouse Point is included?

    Ahoy, Lydia!

Welcome aboard planDisney! With only 13 days until you set sail on the Dream, I can practically hear Captain Mickey ringing the ship’s bell in excitement for your arrival! My family and I can’t wait to book our next adventure on the Dream and check out all the magical updates from dry dock. We’re especially eager to visit Ramone’s Cantina—since we love Donald’s Cantina on the Wish, we can’t wait to see if this one really ka-chows our taste buds!

Now, let’s talk about Lookout Cay! You’re in for an incredible day filled with breathtaking ocean views, Bahamian culture, and a little bit of that Disney magic sprinkled throughout. To get to all the fun, you’ll first take a short walk (about half a mile) from the ship to the tram area. While that might not be everyone’s idea of a magical journey, my family and I make it fun by keeping an eye out for sea critters along the way—last time, we spotted a variety of fish! But if someone in your crew needs assistance and could use a little extra pixie dust, Guest Services on the ship can arrange for a golf cart ride to the tram area. Just note that there may be a short wait, as other Guests might also be requesting assistance. Once you hop aboard, the trams are completely complimentary and will whisk you off to all the island’s magic. And don’t worry about packing towels—just like Castaway Cay, fresh towels will be waiting for you as soon as you step off the tram!

Now, onto the most important part—the food! You’ll find three delicious, complimentary barbecue locations: True-True BBQ, True-True BBQ Too, and Serenity Bay BBQ (for adults 18+). The offerings might vary slightly, but during our visit, we enjoyed hotdogs, hamburgers, spicy chicken sandwiches, ribs, and more. If you’ve been to Castaway Cay, you’ll notice some familiar flavors, but with a new island twist. And don’t forget about the beverage stations and soft-serve ice cream—I may or may not have helped myself to way too much strawberry soft-serve (but hey, vacation calories don’t count, right?).

I hope you have a practically perfect day soaking in the sunshine, savoring delicious eats, and making magical memories at Lookout Cay! If you have any other questions as you count down to embarkation day, I’d be happy to help—just think of me as your friendly Disney Cruise compass.

Sea ya real soon with love in the air and magic everywhere,
    Dustin
