    Hi Bridget,

I attended Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party two years ago as well. I fell in love with Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade and Holiday Wishes: Celebrate the Spirit of the Season. The special parade and fireworks show do only run during the party until the last party date. After the party ends, typically the week of Christmas, the parade and a modified version of the fireworks show will run.

If you aren't going to be attending a party, you might have a late dinner at one of resorts surrounding the Magic Kingdom. After dinner you could watch the fireworks show before returning to a park or your resort. My favorite choices would be 'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort or Narcoossee's at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Be sure to let me know if I can help you with any other questions!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
