I'm reading alot of answers regarding the moderate and up resorts. We booked into the Pop Century as we figured we wouldn't be spending a lot of time in the room and wanted the extra money to do other things with - have we made a bad decision?

    Hi Cheryl,

I just returned from my first stay at a value resort.  The room was clean, the service was great, and the room felt the same size as those at a moderate resort.  The biggest disadvantage I found was that it took while to travel to the parks via the bus transportation.  I also disliked that there wasn't a sit down restaurant.

It felt more like a hotel than a resort.  The grounds at the other resorts are all beautiful.  I personally think that how you begin and end a day on vacation can make a huge difference on how you remember it.  The moderate resorts are all pretty big and sprawling.  You may have to walk for a few minutes to get a bus or breakfast, but everything around you is gorgeous and makes you feel relaxed.

When I stayed at the All Star Movies I felt like I was just sleeping there, it wasn't an extension of my vacation as the other resorts are.

Only you know what is best for your family's budget, but if you can afford it I would recommend a moderate resort like Caribbean Beach or Port Orleans.
