Hi there, Wayland! Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel and asking your question!
I am delighted to hear that you will soon be spending three glorious days at the Disneyland Resort. You’ll be glad to know that you can certainly upgrade your
one park per day ticket to a Park Hopper ticket at a ticket booth once you are at the parks. However, the price to upgrade to a Park Hopper is the same whether you add the option for all three days or just one day. So I strongly suggest upgrading your entire three-day ticket so you have the option to park hop every day of your trip. Hopping between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park could not be simpler! It takes less than five minutes to walk between the parks so it’s incredibly easy to head over to the other park for a meal or perhaps some nighttime entertainment.
When I visit with my family, we find that we hop every day of our trip and occasionally multiple times per day. Park Hopper tickets allow you to keep your plans flexible which I find to be a necessity if you happen to be traveling with young children. Furthermore, you may be able to experience one park before the other opens for the day or hop over to the other after one park has closed for the night.
Finally, keep in mind that with your three-day ticket you are entitled to one
Magic Morning at Disneyland Park on either a Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday. This extra hour in the morning is absolutely invaluable because you can get so much done with the lower crowd levels.
I hope this helps. Please stop by again with any other questions you may have!
