    I’m purchasing Disney World tickets for my friends and I, when I go to check out it has me put a name on the ticket. If my friends already have a Disney Account then how do I connect the tickets to them instead of just putting their names on them?

    Hi Mark, welcome to planDisney!

    Thank you for asking such an important trip-planning question about your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation. I've answered a lot of, "What do I do now?" questions from Guests that accidentally created duplicate My Disney Experience account profiles for their Family and Friends when purchasing theme park tickets. In your case, we can get your tickets linked correctly from the beginning, which will streamline your planning before and during your park days.

    When purchasing theme park tickets on, you are required to attach a name to each ticket. I understand your friends already have My Disney Experience accounts. If they already appear on your Family & Friends List, you will be able to select their name from the dropdown menu for each Guest at checkout. If you are not yet connected as Family & Friends, which appears to be the case, I highly recommend adding everyone to your Family & Friends List before making your ticket purchase. Follow these steps to add a friend with a My Disney Experience account to your Family & Friends List:

    1. Click "Add a Guest" at the bottom of your Family & Friends List.
    2. Select the "I'll enter their name and age option."
    3. Once you enter the age "18+," an additional option pops up and you should click "Invite this Guest to connect."
    4. Enter the email address associated with your friend's My Disney Experience account and "Done." Repeat steps 1-4 for each friend.
    5. Once your friends accept the email invitations to connect, you will be officially connected as Family & Friends. This means you will be able to select their names from the dropdown menu when making the ticket purchase for your group.

    Another option is to assign each ticket to yourself during checkout and reassign them to your friends once you are connected as Family & Friends. Wholly unused theme park tickets can be reassigned to anyone on your Family & Friends List using a dropdown menu on the "Tickets, Passes, and Memory Maker" tab of your My Disney Experience account.

    Once your tickets are linked to the proper individuals, it's time to make your theme park reservations. You can make theme park reservations for anyone that appears on your Family & Friends List with valid admission linked in My Disney Experience. During your park days, you can purchase Disney Genie+ service, book Lightning Lane attractions, and view Disney PhotoPass images for anyone on your Family & Friends List, as settings allow.
