I'm purchasing a 5 day park pass for Disneyland and California adventures. Can these be converted to seasonal passes after they are used?

Hi there, Russell! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question!

I'm delighted to hear that you are not only going to be spending five days at the Disneyland Resort soon, but that you are also considering purchasing a Magic Key! You can most certainly upgrade your five-day theme park ticket to a Magic Key, but just be sure to follow these steps:

    1. Purchase your five-day ticket and make theme park reservations for your entire trip.
    2. Visit the parks as you normally would with your five-day ticket.
    3. On day five, after you have entered a park that day, but before the parks close that evening, upgrade your ticket to a Magic Key in the Disneyland app. You can only upgrade a ticket while it is still valid so that's why you must do so before the parks close on your last day. You will only pay the difference in price between the five-day ticket and the price of the Magic Key type you select.
It's important that you wait until the last day that you are in the parks because when you upgrade your ticket to a Magic Key, any remaining theme park reservations associated with that ticket will be canceled. And you may not be able to make new ones for the rest of your travel dates with your Magic Key. But upgrading after you have entered a park on your fifth day keeps all your theme park reservations intact. Keep in mind that your Magic Key activation/anniversary date will be retroactive to the first day you used your five-day ticket.

I hope this information is helpful. Have a great day!
