I'm going to be purchasing an annual pass in October and was wondering if the pass will go into effect on the day I buy it or the day I first use it.

    Hi Casey!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Thank you for sending us your great question about Walt Disney World Resort annual passes.

I am an annual passholder and Florida Resident myself, and cannot sing the praises of being an annual passholder enough! I love the many benefits and discounts that accompany being a passholder. I must admit, being able to visit the Walt Disney World Resort parks as often as I like is one of the most magical feelings in “the World”!

Casey, you will be happy to know that your pass will not go into effect until you activate it at a Walt Disney World Resort theme park ticket window or Disney Springs Guest Relations location. When you do so, you will enjoy a full year of annual passholder benefits and discounts. You will also be able to customize your annual pass MagicBand once you activate your pass in person. Hip hip hooray!

If you have any other questions or require further clarification, please visit the Disney Parks Moms Panel again. We are always here to help you plan the “practically perfect” Walt Disney World Resort vacation.

    Wishing you a Magical yEAR,
