Hiya, Andrea!
Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for sending this
Disneyland Resort vacation planning question to us hEAR! Oh Boy! I just peeked at the dates of your visit to Mickey's house and I'm so excited for you! Talk about a way to ring in a new yEAR!
This is a very good question.
1-Day Theme Park Admission Tickets are priced based on a demand-style pricing model. Tickets for more popular days are a different price than a 1-Day ticket purchased for a mid-week visit in a typically slower month.
The levels currently run between Tier 1 through Tier 6.
One of the main uses for the tiers is should something happen and you need to
reschedule your visit, you'll be able to move your dates around based on your tier; 1-day tickets and
Park Pass Reservations can be rescheduled for any date that is also within their same tier date or lower. (Ex: a Tier 4 ticket can be used on a Tier 2 day.) Tier 6 is currently the highest tier so if (knocks on wood) something should happen to your upcoming visit to The Happiest Place on Earth and you need to reschedule, you'll be able to use these same tickets on almost any other date, so long as it still has
Park Pass Reservation Availability. Guests who hold a lower tier ticket and would like to move their Disney dates around to a higher tier day must upgrade their tickets by calling the
Disneyland Resort Ticket Helpline and paying the difference.
