Im in the process of planning a WDW vacation for the first time. My boyfriend is afraid of heights and not big on rides and I am the opposite and a thrill junky. Is it possible for both of us to wait in line together but only I get on rides?

    Hi, Lyndsey!

Your Prince Charming can absolutely stay by your side until you board any attraction. Simply let the Cast Members know that he is not riding, and they will direct him to a nearby exit prior to boarding. I think this is a win-win situation. Your boyfriend doesn't have to ride anything he doesn't want to and you have someone to hold your phone and tote bag while you ride!

The only time I would not suggest he waits with you is if you are using the FastPass+ queue. You will be through that line so quickly that it will not be worth him joining you. He will be better off using his FastPass+ and enjoying a different attraction while you are on one of your thrill rides!

Since this is your first Walt Disney World vacation, make sure to stop by a Guest Services location to pick up your complimentary "First Visit" button. You will also want to download the My Disney Experience app for your smartphones so you can keep up to speed on wait times, make dining reservations, and even change FastPass+ experiences.

Enjoy your visit to Walt Disney World!
