I'm in the process of planning our first family trip to Disney. I want to take my camera, but am concerned that if I have a backpack, I won't be able to take it on rides with me. Is that a problem, or should I be able wear/hold it on the rides?

    Hello, Laura,

I have taken nearly every assorted size of bags from small purses to large diaper bags to medium backpacks with me to the parks at Walt Disney World without a problem.

Some of the rides have small nets to hold items (often these are too small for bags/backpacks), so I just place my belongs at my feet.  If it is more of an adventurous ride, I may wrap a strap around the my foot or my wrist (whichever works best) so that I feel more secure.

Since I'm not sure what size backpack you have, I can't say for certain that you'll have the same experience. If you picture your backpack resting at your feet and you are comfortable with that, I think you shouldn't have any problems on the attractions. You won't be allowed wear it while on the attractions, however.

Also a little fyi that you may want to keep in mind that all bags are inspected before entering the parks; so if you have one with many pockets, it may take you longer to get through those lines.

Have a wonderful first trip to Walt Disney World.  Please let us know if you have any further questions.
