I’m in the process of planning a family reunion and we want to go to Disneyland for a day. I was wondering if we can plan a luncheon at the park?

Hi Kierra! Welcome to planDisney! Thanks so much for stopping by to send us your question!

When Walt Disney created Disneyland, he wanted guests of all ages to experience the magic. I think The Happiest Place on Earth is the perfect place to reunite your family! You could definitely plan a luncheon for your family reunion, and there are a couple of options as you're planning. I have two suggestions for you, depending on the size of your group and your budget. If you have a very large group and would like to have a luncheon beyond ordering at a dining location in Disneyland Park, you could contact Disney Meetings & Events and submit a request for your family reunion. I have met some people on the Disneyland Events team, and they are so great at planning magical events! If your group is smaller and you prefer to make Advanced Dining Reservations at a dining location, you could choose that option. You can make Advanced Dining Reservations, up to 60 days before the date you wish to dine, on the Disneyland website or using the Disneyland Mobile App. When making reservations, you can check availability for your desired date, time, and party size, but for larger groups, it might be necessary to make multiple reservations for smaller subgroups. You will need to enlist the help of others in your dining party to do this. You might consider reserving smaller groups. When you arrive to check in for your reservation, be sure to mention this to the Cast Member so they can try to have you seated together. In my experience, Cast Members will do their best to make it happen.

Typically, the larger the dining location, the more likely it is that they can accommodate your large group. Dining locations at the Disneyland Resort Hotels that have all-you-care-to-enjoy, such as Storytellers Cafe and Goofy's Kitchen, could be good options depending on the size of your group. I also think that dining locations like Plaza Inn could likely accommodate your group for lunch.

Kierra, I hope this information helps with your planning! If you have more questions before your next visit, please feel free to send them to us at planDisney. We can't wait for you and your family to visit, and we would love to help!

    Wishing you magic,
    Lisa
