I'm a previous CM, but haven't been to DW since 01. Want to know more about TREX rest. Do you think it will scare my 18 month or is it more like the Rainforest Cafe?

    Hi Shelbie!

Disney World misses you -  You won't believe how much it has changed since your last visit!  The new T-Rex Cafe is, as my boys would say, "Awesome!"  It is very similar to the Rainforest Cafe, in fact, it is owned by the same parent company, Landry's Family of Restaraunt.  We enjoyed our first trip to the cafe a couple of weeks ago and dined in the frozen meteorite room in the center of the restaurant.  While it was really cool (no pun intended!,) I think that I would have preferred to eat in the back dinosaur room.

Check out their website at Trexcafe.com and have fun exploring the menu and shopping opportunities.  Our FAVORITE part of the entire evening was spent unearthing dinosaur bones in the sandy/gravel pit connected to the retail area.  I think that your 18 month old will enjoy all of the friendly dinos that inhabit the cafe and chomping down on some dinosaur chicken nuggets - have fun!

    Much pixie dust,
