I'm a pretty savvy Disney Mom. I'm taking my 2 boys to WDW for their first trip and my oldest will turn 4 while there in Oct. What are some things we can do to celebrate that are unique, off the radar, memorable? We will do the bday button and a char meal.

    Janelle,

On behalf of us here at the Moms Panel, happy early birthday to your son! This will truly be a memorable trip that he will remember forever.

One thing I recently heard of that would be pretty fun and unique would be to do the Kidcot Fun Stops around World Showcase in Epcot. When you go to each country for the activity, let the cast member know it is his birthday (they will probably notice the birthday button anyway) and see if they can write Happy Birthday to him in their native language. They might also be able to tell your son how they celebrate birthdays in their country!

Another fun thing I often suggest is "dessert for dinner". Obviously, this would be something that would be to your discretion. However, if this sounds like a fun treat, you could head over to Beaches & Cream Soda Shop at the Yacht and Beach Club Resort and partake in one of their over the top and scrumptious ice cream sundaes. They even have something called the "Kitchen Sink" that could be shared by all of you! Be sure to mention the birthday to the server and they can bring any of the sundaes out with a candle!

Be sure to have him wear the birthday button each day of your visit and not just on his birthday. You'll be amazed at the special attention and recognition he'll get each and every day!

I hope it is a Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious Birthday!
