    Hi, I'm going to be at the pop century resort on oct.23-29 for my son's first visit, aside from mickey's grand welcome, character dining and the pirate league what else can I do to make his trip even more special? Thanks.

    Hi Elizabeth,

    A first trip to Disney World is always awesome!  I'm not sure how old your son is but here are some things I'd recommend:

    * Jedi Training Academy at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Click here for more info.

    * If your son is into pirates, here are several suggestions.

    * Stop by the Harmony Barbershop in Town Square at the MK for some festive hair gel

    * One of my sons loves collecting character autographs. We purchased an official Theme Park Autograph Book and Pen (characters have an easier time signing with a larger pen) & he has a blast trying to get them all. He scored Phineas & Ferb on our last visit.

    * Chip'n Dale's Campfire Sing-a-long - click here for more info.

    * The LEGO Imagination Center at Downtown Disney

    * Free Stuff - my fellow panelist Teronya has a list of excellent ideas - click here.

    * Be sure to pick up a "1st Visit" button for him.  If they don't have one when you check into your resort, you can pick up one at Guest Relations as you enter a theme park.

    I think that you'll find that your son's first trip will be amazing even without a ton of planned extras. For me and my boys, just being together and spending quality time at the Most Magical Place on Earth means the world to me.

    Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison
