I'm planning a WDW vacation for christmas i'm looking to stay 10 days. My question is is it worth staying through New Years? Are there special events that happen for New Years? I want to set my dates. Thanks in Advance!

Hi Cynthia!  New Years Eve in the parks is one of the busiest days all year.  This is especially true for the Magic Kingdom and EPCOT parks.  Early in the day these parks might close to guests as they reach their capacity so be aware of that very important fact if you decide to stay the extra time on vacation.

If you have children with you  I suggest spending New Years Eve in the Magic Kingdom. The fireworks display will be incredible!  If you are traveling with adults head to EPCOT where the mood will be a bit more wild and crazy. The Illuminations and special fireworks are awesome as well and the entire World Showcase will be in the party mood.  It is fun to travel from country to country as the new year hits back home on their time.  It is nonstop fun all night.

I had the privilege of spending New Years Eve for the Millennium at EPCOT and will never forget that experience. Crowded to capacity but I had more fun then on any other December 31!
