I'm planning on going to WDW for the Star Wars weekends in 2012. Do they have any special Character dining during these weekends? The party I'm traveling with has never been to Disney before and I want to make sure everything is extra special.

    Hi Erin!

Unfortunately, the answer is "no".  There's been rumors from time to time of a Star Wars based Character Dining Experience, but it hasn't happened yet.  I wish Disney would create one; my children would absolutely love it!

That said, Star Wars Weekends are a lot of fun for Star Wars fans of any age!  There are characters walking throughout Disney's Hollywood Studios and special characters to meet.  Even some guests will be in Star Wars costumes.

By the way, since you said this will be your first time, I highly recommend picking up the book "The Complete Walt Disney World" by Julie and Mike Neal.  It's a great book for first timers as it has just the right amount of information without being overwhelming.  It's also a beautiful book full of color photographs.  It will give you a good idea of everything there is to do at Walt Disney World and provide some good tips as well!

Enjoy planning your magical vacation and write back if you have any more questions!
