Hi, I'm planning on going to WDW for the first time ever with my 4 yr old daughter. My hubby and I want some time alone. We're thinking about leaving our daughter in Simba's Cubhouse. Can I have some info on that? Is she old enough to participate? Thanks!

    Hi Lauren,

Our son has stayed at Simba's Cubhouse in the Animal Kingdom Lodge on two separate occasions. This on-site childcare center is open daily from 4:30 p.m. until midnight. Reservations can be made at 407-WDW-DINE (407-939-3463) and from my experience I would definitely reserve at least 24 hours in advance.

Potty-trained children ages 4 to 12 are welcome in the facility. Cast Members will supervise your child while she enjoys Disney films, arts & crafts, toys, video games, board games, books, and puzzles.

If your child is there during dinner, you will select a meal that will be provided. It's typical kid food such as chicken nuggets, etc. You can indicate any allergies or other concerns during the Check In process.

Prices are subject to change, however they are currently $11.50 per hour with a two-hour minimum.

On both visits to Simba's Cubhouse, our son reported having a good time. The Cast Members were very friendly and helpful with all of our questions.
