Hi, I'm planning on visiting WDW this June and staying at the AKL. My question is should I take the bus transportation or taxi it back and forth? Or would renting a car be best? I've heard it can take over an hour to get to the parks.

    Hello Deborah,
I'm so thrilled to hear you're planning a wild adventure this coming June to one of Walt Disney World Resort's most beautifully themed hotels - Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. My family and I have always enjoyed staying there and have loved immersing ourselves in the colourful African ambiance.
In our experience we found it super convenient to utilise the wonderful Walt Disney World Bus Service to transport ourselves not only to the close by Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park but to everywhere else on Disney property!
Bus journey times are obviously longer for some Disney destinations, but the way we perceived it was that whist we're on vacation the buses made our travel stress-free and we won't need to worry about parking the hire car!
Taxi cab and vehicle hire can also have great advantages, especially for visiting nighttime destinations like Disney Springs or Disney Resort hotels where you have secured Advanced Dining Reservations. Vehicle hire can be simply arranged by checking out this Car Rentals link and a visit to Bell Services at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is my best recommendation for help with taxi cab hire.

    Have a great Disney day.
