I'm planning on visiting WDW in January with my husband and 2 year old. Which resort would you say is the best for a toddler? Also, are the pools heated and open in the wintertime?

    Michelle:

I would recommend the Contemporary Hotel with a toddler. It is on the monorail with the train stopping in its lobby making it easy for afternoon naps. If you find yourself not able to stay in the park until the fireworks, just watch them from the balcony of your room. One of the best character meals awaits at Chef Mickey's located in the atrium of the hotel.

The resort's pool is heated and it is open in winter. I'm always surprised at folks who will brave it in January even in Florida, so you'll rarely find yourself alone. If you want some suggestions for dining or parks, please come back and ask.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
