Hi! I'm planning a visit to WDW on the Sept 2014. Which week do you think would be better considering crowds and weather? We are not interested in attending the MNSSHP nor the Food and Wine Festival in Epcot. Thanks a lot!

    Hi Valeria,

September is one of my favorite times of year to visit Walt Disney World.  The temperature is not as hot as it can be in the middle of summer, but it is still warm enough to enjoy a dip in the pool or visit to a water park without worrying about being chilly.  Since most children are just heading back to school in September, there tend to be less families visiting during this month.  I think that pretty much all of September is a great time to visit.

If I had to pick the best time to visit Walt Disney World during September, I would probably opt for early to mid-September.  Do wait until a few days after Labor Day as that weekend will likely draw some crowds.  Also as the month closes, the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival begins, which can make crowds larger, especially at Epcot.  I love this event, but since you said that you do not plan to go to it, I would plan to visit when it is not in session.  Overall, the high temperature in Orlando in Florida averages 90 degrees Fahrenheit.  This will of course go down as the month goes on, but not so significantly that I think that it should impact your decision.

When I am looking for predictions of crowd levels at Walt Disney World, I like to visit the unofficial site touringplans.com.  For a fee, you can gain access to their predictions of crowd levels for the next year.

I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Valeria.  Have a wonderful time planning your vacation, and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
