Hi again, Saijalben. Great to have you back at planDisney. It looks like you have already enjoyed where the magic meets the sea, and now you are ready to spend a day at the
Most Magical Place on Earth. I am actually doing the reverse in just a few days. I am starting my holiday season with
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom before sailing away on a Very Merrytime cruise aboard the Disney Fantasy. I am counting down the minutes.
A one-day visit to
EPCOT is absolutely possible, and yes, you can still buy a ticket at the gate on the day of your visit, as long as the park has not reached capacity. The only times you really need to worry about capacity are major holidays, and even then, if you arrive at park opening, you should be in good shape.
Since Resort Guests get
Early Theme Park Entry, which starts thirty minutes before the posted opening time, you will want to plan on arriving before the official opening. For example, if EPCOT opens at 9 AM, Early Entry begins at 8:30 AM, which means the ticket windows and Guest Relations should be open around that time or a little earlier. To confirm, head to the
EPCOT page on the Walt Disney World website, select Park Hours, and choose the date you plan to visit. That will show you the hours for that day.
Because many of our friends traveling from overseas buy 7 or 14-day tickets, it can look like shorter tickets are not offered. But if you just want to pop in for the day, a 1-day ticket is always available. To view pricing, visit the USA version of the
Walt Disney World Theme Park Tickets page. From there, choose your date and select the 1-Day, 1 Park EPCOT ticket. Prices vary depending on the day, but you can expect something in the range of about $164 to $184 before tax for Guests ages ten and up.
Since EPCOT is your destination, let me offer a few of my favorites.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind should be at the top of your list. It is easily one of the best attractions on the property, and make sure you check out the selfie mirror after your ride. As you make your way around World Showcase, grab a Citron Slush in France, Viking Coffee in Norway, Maple Popcorn in Canada, a Margarita in Mexico, and a giant Mickey Pretzel in Germany. They are my go-to treats every trip.
If you want help planning how to use
Lightning Lane or want suggestions for a great dinner spot, send me another question anytime.
I am happy to help.
