I’m planning to visit Disneyworld Orlando in August 2024. I’m planning to visit Galaxy Edge and tried to reserve some attractions there but dates after July 12 are not available. I read somewhere that Galaxy will be closed for renovations, is this correct?

Welcome to planDisney, Joanna. It's a pleasure to answer your question.

Currently, you can only book experiences from the Enchanting Extras Collection, like Savi's Workshop and the Droid Depot in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, 60 days ahead of your trip. This is why you can only see dates 60 days out. At this time, there have been no announced refurbishments for this land. While anything is possible, a large-scale refurbishment of an entire land does not typically happen and most refurbishments are announced well in advance and would be labeled in red text on the attraction's page. Stay tuned to Disney Parks Blog for official news and updates leading up to your trip.

Now if you are staying at a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel, you will be able to reserve advanced dining reservations and experiences from the Enchanting Extras Collection for your entire trip (up to 10 days) starting at 6 a.m. EST 60 days before your check-in. This gives you a great advantage over other Guests as you will have access to some dates that they do not since they will have to wait to book each experience 60 days ahead of each day, one day at a time!

Joanna, I hope that your intergalactic journey is out-of-this-world (which I realize is the definition of intergalactic). If you have any other questions, send them my way!

May the Force be with you,
    Matt
