Hi, I’m planning to visit Disneyland with my family (4) this upcoming September (10 -15). I need advice for the following: Transportation to the park, best option. I’m renting a car. Two days planning, 1 day per park. Any sugestión? Thanks!

    Hey there Julio,

Welcome to planDisney and thanks for your question! It sounds like you're going to have such a fun trip to the Happiest Place on Earth with your family this September.

If I'm understanding your question correctly, it sounds like you're renting a car. Have you already booked a hotel? If not, I would highly recommend choosing one of the hotels of the Disneyland Resort! This or even one of the surrounding Good Neighbor Hotels makes transportation to and from the parks a breeze. For the Disneyland Resort Hotels, it's just a quick walk to the park gates! Many of the Good Neighbor Hotels are walkable as well, and many that are a bit outside walking distance offer shuttles - just check with your hotel for the option that works for you.

Alternatively, if you're staying further away, you could drive your rental car to and from the resort each day and use one of the many parking options!

As for actually visiting the parks, I'm always a proponent of adding the Park Hopper option if you're able so that you can switch between parks after 11:00 AM. Either way, you'll want to make sure you make your theme park reservations for each day of your trip!

Once you've selected your parks, you can download the Disneyland mobile app to get an idea of the different attractions to get an idea of what you'd like to try and do during your visit. Additionally, I love using the filter options on the Attractions and Entertainment page depending on the makeup of your family - whether you're a family with preschoolers, young kids, or teens, the filters will give you some specific options to consider when planning out what you'd like to do.

Lastly, I'd recommend keeping an eye on the Disney Park Blog! Since your trip falls in mid-September, there is a good chance that Halloween time at the Disneyland Resort will be in full swing, so you can watch the Disney Parks Blog for all the details that will come with that season.

I hope that helped, Julio! Thanks again for your question, and please feel free to follow up with us if you think of any additional questions. We'd love to help!

    Have a Magical Day,
