Hi Jasmine!
Thank you for visiting us hEAR at planDisney!
I am so, so sorry that you're running into a bit of ticketing trouble, Jasmine. We panelists are Guests just like you, and some of us also dislike the new
Park Pass Reservation system as it really limits the ability to make last-minute plans or changes. Sadly it's become increasingly harder to secure Park Pass Reservations within about a month of a desired Disney date, which again is hard because while Park Pass Reservations open 120 days in advance, not everyone can commit to a schedule four months out. It's also Spring Break season right now, and one of the first school breaks since the pandemic numbers have improved, so the resort is more popular now than it has been in quite a while.
At the current time, when looking at all of the
Park Pass Reservation Calendars, there isn't much available. Park Pass Reservations do open up occasionally at the last minute, including the morning-of, so the best bet right now is for your family to keep checking and keep refreshing.
You theoretically could add a member or two of your California Family to your Disneyland Resort Hotel reservation so that they could also make Park Pass Reservations as a hotel guest, but in doing so there are two things to keep in mind: First, your total guest count can't exceed the number of people your guestroom can 'sleep.' (So if your current hotel reservation is for four guests between you + a spouse/partner and two kids, and your room sleeps five, you could add an extra one person to your reservation who would then qualify for a Hotel Guest Park Pass Reservation.) Secondly, if Guests three, four, or five in your standard guestroom (IE: not a suite) reservation are over the age of 18 years, you'll be charged an additional *$25 nightly fee for the extra adult(s) in the reservation.
Another option your CA fam still has is to book a
Disneyland Resort Hotel for themselves and join in the overnight fun with you! (Pro Tip: The pool at Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel is undergoing some reimagining, so guests of this hotel are allowed to use the pools at The Disneyland Hotel for the time being. There's even a complimentary shuttle to get between the two hotels!) They can either book a
Disneyland Resort Hotel Vacation Package that would include the room + theme park admission tickets + park pass reservations, or they could book a room-only hotel reservation. The only caveat with this second choice is that
theme park admission tickets for this weekend are currently sold out, so they'll need to acquire tickets elsewhere, like through a third-party Disney authorized ticket seller or travel planner. (Pro Tip: Several grocery stores in the SoCal area, including Target, sell Disneyland Admission Ticket Gift Cards that will also work for this weekend.)
I hope that this helped to get your additional family members in the theme parks with you, Jasmine! Be sure to follow the
